Our Silk Design used in 2018 Woodford Reserve Mint Julep Cup sale
We're excited! Woodford Reserve selected our originally-designed silk fabric for the 2018 $1000 Mint Julep Cup sale. Each $1000 silver julep cup or $2500 gold-plated cup is presented in a special wooden box, lined with custom-designed silk.
Bourbon Cousins designed the custom silk pattern for Woodford Reserve. The motif highlighting 3 traditional Derby elements: the rose, the racehorse, and the twin spires, are repeated within the design, among encircled Woodford Reserve bottle silohouettes – inspired by the winner’s circle and Woodford Reserve’s inaugural year as the Presenting Sponsor of the 144th Kentucky Derby. The colors coordinate with those on the neck label of the 2018 Woodford Reserve Derby edition bourbon bottles.
Each year, Woodford Reserve selects a charitable organization to receive the net proceeds from the $1,000 Mint Julep Cups sold at the Kentucky Derby®. The Jennifer Lawrence Fund will be the beneficiary and receive the net proceeds from this year’s sale.
We enjoy collaborating with distilleries, as well as large groups looking to host bourbon-themed events and fundraisers. We also provided Woodford Reserve with matching pocket squares, scarves and novelty bow ties showcasing the pattern design. Who knows, maybe we'll spot Chris Morris, Master Distiller, sporting one of our bow ties or pocket square at the Derby!
